Regarding my difficult workplace environment

I’m not sure how I’m supposed to get anything done around here when just any old mythopoetic demiurge can saunter up and look at me through my office window whenever she feels like it.

Especially when she takes off before I can get my camera focused.

Though she did kindly stop for a glimpse back at the property line.

It’s just non-stop productivity losses around here, I tell you what.

I know the feeling. Right now the world’s least competent cactus wrens are trying to build a nest on one of the pillars holding up our patio roof. The female takes a clump of grass and Smokey fur, lays it on the top of the pillar, shoves it around with her beak…and knocks it off. She tries again, only to have her mate alight and dislodge the next clump with his feet. If they don’t kick the nest material to the ground themselves, the wind takes it away. They’ve been at it for at least 24 hours. It’s hard to concentrate when every time I look up from the computer, there’s another mini-disaster right outside the window.

I’m at your back, brother, when sister Coyote shows up. ;P Keep an eye out! Guard your flocks and man the flanks of common sense! She’s always around, whether you know it or not.
